I grew up in the Bronx. Funny they always put the the there. You don't say I grew up in the Connecticut. I grew up in the Queens. Doesn't work. But if you try I grew up in Bronx it doesn't work either. There might be a reason why. The area used to belong to a family Bronck. And when people went to visit the family people would say I went to visit the Broncks.
